There are differences between the
notion of “searching” and “surfing”. When one is surfing on the Internet, they
are not usually looking for specific information. I usually surf for a place to
spend my vacations. I google a few resources and read comments that people have
made about the destination. I surf some more interesting places until the
destination jumps out at me. After I have decided on the destination for my
vacation, I start to do some serious research. I look for the best hotel deals,
airline flights, and activities at the destination. When I search, I am looking
for specific information. When I surf, I am like the person on the surfboard
who is just enjoying the waves until one of the waves knocks me out.
